Poor Jolly Old Man!

Poor, Santa, is all I have to say. My sister and I took the kiddos to see Santa yesterday, and as you see from the pic it was a little tramatic for Brayden, and Sadie was the same way...that's why we ended up with no pic of the 3 cousins together. Alexander was just there for the ride. Maybe next year will be better, but still makes for a cute picture.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Wow! What a Thanksgiving day....wait, no, what a YUMMY Thanksgiving day!! I started the day bright and early, 4:45 a.m., so I could shower and be ready before the boys got up, so one less thing I am running around trying to do in case of any hiccups that occur while getting the boys ready, last minute food preps, packing for the day, and making sure I have not forgotten anything. That was the plan at least, but Alexander was excited about his 1st Thanksgiving so he was up at 6 a.m. compared to his normal 7:30.
We started the all day Thanksgiving feast with my family at my sister's house at 10:30 a.m. for turkey lunch. Not only was the table beautiful, but the turkey was awesome and the sides were out of this world, not to mention great company, laughs, and full bellies. And ofcourse a chocolate cake to celebrate our b-days.
At around 4 o' clock we were off to Wally's family for turkey dinner. There, we had not 1 but 2 turkeies, a bunch of yummy sides, and along with apple and pumpkin pies plus more chocolate to celebrate our b-days.
Not only was it a great day with both families with a Thanksgiving feast to leave of full for a week, but a wonderful birthday celebration from both families...so THANK YOU to everyone for making it a wonderful birthday....and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME :)!

It's That Time Of Year (Almost)....

I love this time of year...first Thanksgiving (yummy) and then Christmas...love it! This is truly my favorite season. I love the smells, sights (especially Christmas time), the hustle and bustle, the time spent with family, I LOVE IT ALL. As of last year, we have started to decorate the house with Christmas in the beginning of Novemeber...with our b-days, Thanksgiving, and all the activities this season brings, it is over before we know it, and I want as much time as possible to enjoy it. Every year gets better and better as the boys get older and the "magic of Santa" is back. This year is going to be fun w/ Brayden, as every year he understands a little bit more than the last. I have even done some Christmas shopping, so maybe I will be completely done real soon if I keep going the way I am...YEA! Hope you enjoy the pics to get you in the mood, I couldn't get Brayden to sit down for a pic that wasn't blurry, so I am leaving it up to my little "A".

We Can't Forget The Chocolate Cake

If you know my hubby, then you know his love of CHOCOLATE and my chocolate cake. So along with a yummy steak dinner w/ his favorite fixins, their was ofcourse cake to celebrate Wally's special day. As you can see in the pic, I decided to portion control and only make half a cake, for the only reason that Thanksgiving is this week along with my b-day as well, so their will be plenty more cake in the coming days...plus it prevents a midnight craving on my part and finishing off the cake...have to remember I'm not pregnant anymore :). So, Brayden helped Daddy blow out the candle, and had a hard time taking his eyes off the cake for a pic. Even though Wally worked a long day, we had a great evening celebrating with the old man ;)... Love you, honey!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WALLY!!!

29 year ago today, my hubby was born into this world. So on his special day, the boys and I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY and THANK YOU for everything you do and have given us. I am proud to call you my husband, my best friend, and father of my 2 boys. The boys are so lucky to have you as their Daddy and love you so much. Every evening, when Brayden hears the hum of the garage door opening, he looks at me and whispers "Daddy" and listens and waits to hear the door open. Once that door opens, here come to welcome-home-daddy-parade....screams of "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy..." as Brayden runs around the house and then runs to Daddy for his hug. WE LOVE YOU WALLY/DADDY & HAPPY BIRTHDAY, XOXO!

Happy Half A Year Birthday!!

Yea!!! Happy 6 months to my baby boy, Alexander! I can't believe he is 6 months already...where did the time go?! Today was his 6 month appointment, he is 17 lbs 11oz and 27 1/2 inches and in great health even broke a half smile after 4 shots and tear running down his cheek to the nurse at the end of it all. He is loving his baby food, and can sit up on his own, which is great b/c it makes it easier to watch his brother run around, and has mastered the backward scoot :).

Twins...Thank You To My Sis

Here is a photo I had to take of the boys in their matching shirts my sister got them. I always said I would not do that to them, but now that I have two and can find outfits in their size that match...how could I not, or for that matter, how could my sister not :). Thanks, Rayne for the shirts....the boys are super cute thanks to their Ya-Ya.

An Evening For Two

Wally and I went to Kelly Kirby and Don Kelly's wedding and reception...her name is now Kelly Kelly, too cute...anyways she does business with and is a friend to Wally, along with her mom. Kelly is the one that Wally called right after our first date to tell her that he had met the future Mrs. Elibiary. So it was a beautiful wedding and reception at the Belo Mansion, along with great food and a very entertaing band. We had a great time and congratulations to the happy couple...The Kellys.

2nd Cooking Class

It was our 2nd cooking class and our menu was all about 'Dinner for the Holidays' with butternut squash soup, spiced cider baked ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, and last but not least pumpkin cake....Yummy. Once again, we had a great time. Last night I made the butternut squash soup, tweeked it a little bit, and was great....yea. Ally and Abby ended up coming over, her hubby was working late and my hubby was golping (it's golfing, but according to Brayden it's golping) so he was going to be late, and she loved it to. Who could beat an evening w/ kiddos, girl talk, and some good soup....well maybe a glass of wine. Sorry Ally, I should have thought about that last night :).

Halloween 2007

Avery as Darth Vader
Brayden w/ Pooh
Batman off to save the day

Little Robin
Daddy & Batman
Maddox as Yoda...I didn' tget a pic of Jaden as Skywalker

Last night we went to the Square in downtown McKinney for some trick r' treating with the Marleys. Where it is a good and safe idea for kids to go, it's definitely more for kiddos who really get the idea of trick r' treat....Brayden at times was very overwhelmed. There were a lot of other little batmans, which Brayden would point out and get excited to see, but we were the only ones to have his partner in crime...Robin, which everyone loved. Both boys were adorable...makes me want next Halloween to come quickly.
