In The Wild, Wild West

Here is Brayden, I mean Cowboy Brayden, already for school. They were having a hoe down today at school and got to dress in cowboy attire, and this was the final product. All he was missing was some cowboy boots, which I wasn't going to invest in since this was a one time kind of outfit as we are not the western kind of family :). But who needs boots when you have chaps, cowboy hat, and a bandanna...YEE HAW!!!

Rubba-Dub-Dub, Sweet Lil' Boy In The Tub

After bath on this particular night, Alex was acting the part of the puppy towel, and saying "Woof-woof". So of course I grabbed the camera to capture the cuteness this boy oozes, and this pic captures just that 100% cuteness. He looks so innocent, right?! Ha-ha, just remember he is about to be two, and oh, how he is trying at times.

Brother Love

The night has come to an end :(

Sunday evening, we went to a small wedding reception at Al Amir, a Mediterranean restaurant in Addison. Knowing it was a Mediterranean restaurant, I knew I and the boys would enjoy dinner very much. Seeing as Wally grew up on this food, he get very tired of eating it very quickly, but being married to him I have discovered my LOVE for this food and the boys as well, so it is fortunate and unfortunate for Wally at times. Back to the reception, so the food was good, but it was the entertainment and people that made the night, especially for the boys. Lots of dancing, which Brayden got to put his moves to work on the dance floor, even Alex busted a few in between running around the restaurant as if he had never had freedom before (which was closed off to the public so he had the freedom to do so). The staff even blew bubbles for the kiddos on the dance floor while the adults were eating, which saved Nehal (my sister-in-law) and myself from meltdowns from some about to be bored kids.

Towards the end of the evening, there was a belly dancer, and if you have seen the boys with the belly dancer, it was hilarious (more than what the pics can show). Alexander, especially, could not and would not leave her alone to even do her dance, so she ended up dancing with him. I was told by everyone I would have my hands full with that one when he got older...yes, I know, I am already scared, even at the grocery store he can pull in the women just sitting in the grocery cart with his snack all over, smiling.

"We Are Off To Golf"

That is what I was told by Brayden with Alex say "Bye" while I was getting us ready to leave to go to the park. And they were, hats on, golf bag ready, and clubs in hand...how could I not capture this moment. The boys knew this was cute because they were eager to have their pic taken and not run off at the sight of the camera.

Mini Wally

Mini Wally, Wally Jr., or whatever you want to call it, he looks just like his handsome daddy! Wednesday was picture day at school, and b/c of the quick weather change, so did my outfit I wanted him to wear. So after putting him in this outfit, I was like, "Whoa, you are your Daddy!", Brayden replied "No, Mommy, I am Brayden!" (as in duh, mom, what are you thinking!). Wally look-a-like or not, he is such my little man!

Rollie Pokie

The Roly-Poly
Watching carefully while covered in chalk and mud
Still cute even if they do like bugs!

That is what Brayden calls a roly-poly even after I kept telling him the correct name...I think he just like saying pokie since he would chuckle at himself afterward. I have been letting the boys go out and play in the backyard when I am cooking dinner since the weather has been perfect for that. It occupies them and keeps then from being under my feet in the kitchen, and they LOVE it, mud, bugs and all. So when it was time to round them up for dinner, I saw then staring heavily at the concrete (I knew then it was a bug....GREAT). Thank goodness it was just a roly-poly (I can handle this bug). Alex was really intrigued by this little bug, and Brayden was hesitant til he saw Alex trying to touch it and mom wasn't freaking out :). I'm sure this is tame compare to what I get to look forward to in the future. I will survive as long as they remember to shut the door behind them and not let a wasp in like Brayden did last year while Wally was golfing.

Hugs To All

Sending hugs your way on this Wednesday from our family!

I have to capture these moments with the boys, when they are so sweet with each other. I am lucky to say they happen daily where they will give each other a hug- naps/bedtime, when one says sorry and gives a hug, when one is leaving (usually dropping off Brayden at school). But don't let that fool you, like a said, it happens when one gets in trouble and has to say sorry and hug, usually after a push, a hit, or taking a toy away from the other playing with it. Man, they are the cutest boy in the world and I am so proud to call them mine!!
**Only 2 months til Alex turns 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!** YIKES!

Dancing With The Stars....TONIGHT!!!

We are anxiously awaiting Dancing With The Stars tonight...well, Brayden and I are. Brayden loves music and to dance to it, so it's natural for him to be excited about this, plus I'm sure it is encourage by my strong liking of it, as well. So here is Brayden this morning when I told him tonight was DWTS night....he is bustin' a move. Whoo-hoo!!!

Diego Update

Here is Alexander after he got his hands on Brayden's safari hat. Needless to say it was destroyed after Alex put it on, I found it as flat as a pancake on the floor.

My Own Little Diego

Brayden came home from school today with this oh, so cute safari hat and binoculars that they made at school. They even went outside and went on a safari, and saw elephants and bunnies, according to Brayden. He was very tickled over his hat and binoculars and is making it a very fun and imaginative afternoon in the backyard!!
