Whew, what a weekend.....what a couple of weekends we have had. We did 2 fall festival this weekend (what we do for our kiddos). Saturday was out the club, which was perfect since Wally had a golf tournament that lasted right up to that moment of when it started, and Sunday was at Brayden's MDO/church. Brayden had lots of fun, Alexander was trying to understand the costumes and activity all around him. He was also a bit cranky from getting over a cold (myself and Wally, too) and I noticed when brushing his front teeth that he has 4 molars coming in at the same time :(....I think I would be a crank, too.

Dancing With The Stars...

...who needs the show when i have it live in my very own living room?! Brayden likes to watch DWTS with me (it helps to break up our same show routine...Backyardigans, Wonder Pets, Wubbzy) and dances with the stars and pros and will even mimic exactly what they are doing with their arms, especially the ending pose. It cracks us up, and Alex will rock back and forth with him, and sometimes we join him as well. We are one big dancing family.

Cute Pumpkin Craft

We made this pumpkin at a birthday party this morning ( HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMMA!), and thought it was cute, and age appropriate for the little one, and EASY... so had to share All you do is take an empty, clean gallon of milk or water container (peel off label), cut shapes to make faces on pumpkin, glue stick, a strand of 35 lights. It's pretty self explanatory, cut a hole where the label use to be big enough to put the lights in, and plug in. ENJOY!

The Boys

Running around at The Heard Museum

Feeding animals at the pumpkin patch

Hey there!

Here comes Brayden

Love the bounce house
"Hey, can I have my wallet back?!"

This past Saturday we had a very fun, full, and active Saturday. Of course we started off our Saturday morning with donuts like we do every Saturday...and what a chocolaty mess Alexander was afterward. Then we were off to the Heard Museum to go and see the dinosaur exhibit, and burn off that sugar high the boys were on from breakfast. The boys were roaring all the way there in the car. Brayden had a blast going from one dinosaur to the next, Alex on the other hand, once there, was not into the big dinos. Brayden couldn't stop talking about the dinosaur that sprayed water...by far his favorite. We stopped by to see the animals on the way out, but most were asleep, and the goats were not Brayden's favorite at the petting zoo. So we were off to go and eat lunch at Texas Roadhouse.
After a short nap, it was up and off to pumpkin patch- this was more Alex's cup of tea. Both boys loved just running around, which didn't make for great pics, but managed to snap a few. With all the animals, pumpkins, running and playing, slides, bounce house, and hay ride, their was no fighting bedtime on this night from all for of us.

Halloween Is Going To Be Arrrrgh-some Around Here

Brayden doing his pirate impression...arrrrgh!

Since we are weeks away from Halloween and trick-r-treating, I decided to get the boys in their costume and hopefully get some good pics (I know the day of would be no bueno since Alex isn't exactly cooperative). Good idea on my part...this was a nightmare trying to get the boys in the same pic, looking at me, with a smile, oh, and all at the same time...I'm not asking too much from a 3 year old or 1 1/2 year old, am I?! So after offering the world to Alex to do what I wanted for one picture (didn't happen), and poor Brayden sitting patiently waiting for his brother to listen to me while holding his pose and smile (my how the roles have reversed). I decided to use my little bit of photoshop knowledge to good use. I added the pics of each boy that I liked and voila...our 2008 Halloween picture. Thank you to my handsome pirates....arrrrrrrrrgh!

Pumpkin Decorating 101

Today, the boys and I went to YaYa's house (my sister) to decorate pumpkin with stickers (good idea Rayne). It was fun, it was a hit with the kiddos, and was short enough to hold their attention long enough. I think we started a great new tradition. Thanks guys for having us over...we love the new Halloween decor :).

What Goes Up, Must Come Down

Helium balloon are the best toys in the world according to my boys...they have been entertained and chasing each other around with them. With the horse-playing with these balloons, the ribbon on one came loose....and there went the balloon to the ceiling. Not a big deal, just get a ladder, right?! Well, not in our living room with extra tall ceiling. Thank goodness, though for an opening in the playroom upstairs that looks down into the living room, and of course Daddy. Without either one, well, there would be no balloon for a couple of days. Now they are back to playing.

Friday Movie Night

Last night the boys and I went to pick up dinner and rent a few movies. Brayden picked out Alvin and the Chipmunks, and I got Baby Mama (for when the boys went nightie-night). I put the movie in to get it started, and I went into the kitchen to tidy up for a few minutes while they were entertained. I went into the living room to join them to find them both on the couch next to each other quietly (ahhhhhh, peace and quiet) and lost in the movie. What an adorable Kodak moment....lately around this time it is either running around chasing each other, or someone has taken the other's toy, blanket, bottle, etc. and their is crying and whining. So this was a nice treat as there is usually some kind of loud commotion or chaos after dinner.

Getting Ready For San Antonio

Wally was cleaning his clubs the night before leaving for his golf weekend. So, of course, who was also cleaning his clubs... none other than Daddy's little shadow. I walked out to the kitchen to this, and had to take a pic :).

Read next post to see what lil' munchkin was doing while these boys were cleaning their clubs...he is very proud of himself.

Mommy's Little Helper

Who knew Alexander could be my little helper?! I discovered this one night after giving the boys a bath, I was getting Brayden into his pj's and sometimes Alex likes to come and climb in my lap and get in my face (either making his silly faces, giving kisses, or just wants to cuddle), making it impossible to get a chilly Brayden dry and dressed. To distract him, I gave him an empty water bottle, and to humor me I told him to go and throw it away (like he would be able to understand me). Well, it worked, he left the room so I could get B dressed, but that didn't happen as I had to stop and watch Alexander continue on the path to the trash can in the kitchen....BINGO, it (being the water bottle) made it in the trash can. So, this is Alex's new chore he loves to do...a little too much, we have found him on the way to the trash can with the TV remote and toys now :).

Just 3 This Weekend

Wally is off to San Antonio this weekend with the guys for a golf weekend. So that means it's just the boys and I....what to do?! There is so much I want to take the boys to go do this month, but anytime I brought something up to do this weekend, I could tell a little disappointment from Wally. So, we are going to wait for Daddy to join us...so we will just move on plan B of what to do, I just now have to think of it :)!! Have fun, Wally, XOXO!
