Happy Birthday, Brayden!!

Brayden 2005

Brayden 2009

Who knew he would grow from baby to this amazing young boy that he is today?! Ok, I had some idea, but as I looked at him today and reflected over the past 4 years of his life I was and am amazed of my little boy....but more importantly I and Wally are so BLESSED that Brayden entered our lives at 5:23 p.m. on this very day. We couldn't be more proud of this sweet little boy, and hope every minute of every day he knows that without a single doubt. We LOVE you so MUCH, Brayden! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Joy Ride!

These days the boys are playing more and more with each other, and where you find one the other is usually right there with him (good or bad). Most of the time it is good and they will entertain each other while I take a shower, fold clothes, empty a dishwasher...you get the point. BUT there are also times where holy war has broken out all over a little toy or playing that got a little tough to handle, and my house is taken over by tears, shouting (sometimes screaming...and yes, I do have boys :) ), and some pushing. These moments are usually brief, and I will take these short drama filled durations any day of the week after seeing how these 2 little boys of mine are becoming the best of buddies.

First Day Of School

First Day of Preschool 2009

Alex's adorable nap mat

Today was the first day of preschool for the boys. Brayden's 2nd year and Alex's 1st year. I was so nervous on how Alex would react, but it turns out I was nervous about the wrong child. Surprisingly, Brayden was the one that had a harder time being dropped off, and Alex just walked right on in and went to playing. The teachers did say, though, that we was fine but seems to be a sympathy crier (That is so Alex right there). When 2 o'clock came to pick up the boys, Alex was still napping, and when I say napping, he was really like passed out. He must have really tired himself out with all the fun. It took me finally picking him up to get him to start to wake up. All in all it was a success...can't wait to see what day 2 will be like next week :).

I know, I know

Yes, I know, it has been a while since I blog. Wally even called me yesterday from work just to tell me that...so this blog entry is just for him...here ya go, sweetie :).

On this day, I had decided for lunch we would have a picnic outside, but as lunch grew closer so did the clouds and next thing I knew it was raining. So what is the next best thing to a picnic outside...a picnic inside. the boys never knew the difference and had a blast even if it was inside...it wasn't at the table, therefor it was fun.

My Brother Taught Me This One....

I went to clean up Alex from his Popsicle snack and as I was approaching him with a wipe he made this face at me....hmmmmm, wonder who taught him this. He thought he was the cutest thing and did his funny little chuckle at himself, and I couldn't help but to laugh with him.

This sums it up...the end of our trip

This past weekend we made, what seems to becoming an annual trip, to San Antonio. We went with the Morris family just like we did last year, and of course enjoyed every minute of it. The first 2 days were relaxing by the pool and letting the kids be fish, and our last day was to go and see Shamu. Brayden LOVED Shamu this year, last year he wasn't the biggest fan, just like Alex was this year. He DID NOT enjoy being splashed what-so-ever. But we are glad we went and glad to be home.
