First Day Of School

First Day of Preschool 2009

Alex's adorable nap mat

Today was the first day of preschool for the boys. Brayden's 2nd year and Alex's 1st year. I was so nervous on how Alex would react, but it turns out I was nervous about the wrong child. Surprisingly, Brayden was the one that had a harder time being dropped off, and Alex just walked right on in and went to playing. The teachers did say, though, that we was fine but seems to be a sympathy crier (That is so Alex right there). When 2 o'clock came to pick up the boys, Alex was still napping, and when I say napping, he was really like passed out. He must have really tired himself out with all the fun. It took me finally picking him up to get him to start to wake up. All in all it was a success...can't wait to see what day 2 will be like next week :).

I know, I know

Yes, I know, it has been a while since I blog. Wally even called me yesterday from work just to tell me that...so this blog entry is just for him...here ya go, sweetie :).

On this day, I had decided for lunch we would have a picnic outside, but as lunch grew closer so did the clouds and next thing I knew it was raining. So what is the next best thing to a picnic outside...a picnic inside. the boys never knew the difference and had a blast even if it was inside...it wasn't at the table, therefor it was fun.

My Brother Taught Me This One....

I went to clean up Alex from his Popsicle snack and as I was approaching him with a wipe he made this face at me....hmmmmm, wonder who taught him this. He thought he was the cutest thing and did his funny little chuckle at himself, and I couldn't help but to laugh with him.

The Sea Lion show

This sums it up...the end of our trip

This past weekend we made, what seems to becoming an annual trip, to San Antonio. We went with the Morris family just like we did last year, and of course enjoyed every minute of it. The first 2 days were relaxing by the pool and letting the kids be fish, and our last day was to go and see Shamu. Brayden LOVED Shamu this year, last year he wasn't the biggest fan, just like Alex was this year. He DID NOT enjoy being splashed what-so-ever. But we are glad we went and glad to be home.

Handy Manny & The Monster

He really was proud of himself to have the job to fix the faucet

And he really does think he is a mean vicious monster...but his cutness just spoils it

Our bathtub faucet was dripping water one day because of a little two year old who sometimes plays with the knobs and doesn't turn them all the way off. Well, Brayden say this and went into Handy Manny role and took immediate action....tools and all. While I had Handy Manny fixing my bathtub, we had an unexpected visit from a monster with really, really strange teeth...but it's roar was vicious :). Yes, my days with the boys always keeps me on my toes as the imaginations grow wilder by the day...you never know what to expect or who you are going to get.

Water & The Truck

To keep us cool during these hot days when we don't go to the pool, we pull out the hose and let the boys have fun. On this day, next thing I know, I peeked out the window and Brayden drove his truck onto the grass and decided to wash it... hmmmmm, I wonder if I could get away with him washing my car, too, well the bottom half, right?!?

Something To Try If You Like Sweet Tea

Ok, so I am not a big drinker (the older I get the weaker I get or my tolerance is just shot), so don't take this blog entry the wrong way...I mean, when do I really come on here talking about alcohol, but when I think something is greatness and crazy good...plus a genius idea...I want to share with my fellow bloggers (that is if you haven't already tried this).

We were out Saturday night, and I finally tried Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka...heard about it, just haven't tried it. It truly taste like Chick-fil-a's sweet tea, which I love to piece, and has no Vodka taste what-so-ever...AWESOME!!! But very dangerous!!! Come to find out when getting the clip art to post, they have other tea flavors...YUMMY...(calming down) I mean, yay, if we are going out and happen to have an adult beverage it is good to know;) (I think I am sounding a bit too excited like I will be having a glass or 2 every night). But I do love iced tea and different flavors, especially with it being summer. I always have a pitcher made these days, and right now the flavor is peach, and when I go to make another pitcher it will be blueberry.
Let me know how you like it...
