All About Brayden Day!
Count down is over... It's officially here!
Birthday breakfast
Class celebration
Singing "Happy Birthday...cha cha cha"
So happy Alex was able to attend
So happy to finally get this cd
Watch out Jo Bros!
Helicopter was a hit...we had many laughs with this that night...and all it's crash landings, Alex screaming when it got near him (it's design is a bug), and Jax trying to catch it in mid air like it's his toy.
Brayden's official day is September 14... at 5:23 pm, to be exact. He was so excited to have "his"day! We he got up I made him 5 mini pancakes with whipped cream and sprinkles. He LOVED the idea and us singing to him, but not a fan of the breakfast (he is such a picky eater...even w/ whipped cream and sprinkles) so he ate a breakfast bar and strawberry milk. Alex loved the pancakes ;)! Then he was off to school where he was greeted by his teachers and more "Happy Birthday!" and a special hat. Alex and I went back up to school after lunch where we brought cookies to celebrate with the class, and another "Happy Birthday" song, but with a twist that was super cute...at the end of each line they threw in a "...cha cha cha!", every "cha, cha, cha" got a bit louder and more giggles. Alex and I left to turn around 1 1/2 hours later to pick up our b-day boy.
When we got home, Daddy was shortly behind us, which meant that Brayden was about to open gifts. He was so excited, and started off with Alex's gift...Operation-Buzz Lightyear...oh, which Brayden has yet to touch b/c Alex has taken over :). After gifts, we had to eat dinner earlier than normal b/c of soccer practice, so Brayden chose On The Border for his b-day dinner...he wanted some chip, salsa, and queso...and he had the crew sing to him there, too. Then it was off to soccer practice til we stepped outside and saw the sky and missed calls from parents (Wally is the coach of Brayden's team)...so practice canceled and was back home to play with the toys and enjoy a Superman cupcake I picked up to celebrate, as well. Whew! What a day!

Remembering The Heros & Victims Of This Day...September 11, 2010
Thank you to all the men and women, our heroes, that risked their lives and the ones that fell victim to this day 9 years ago on September 11, 2001. It was a devastating day that shook our nation that brought us all together like never before and the American pride was felt like never before. I will always remember that day so clear...exactly what I was doing, where I was, and the fear and questioning of what was going on. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

What Do You Get When You Have A Bear And Turtle In The Same Building?
The first day of preschool for my 2 boys, that's what! Alex is a Bear this year, and in the big kid side of the building...he was sooo happy about that. Brayden is a Turtle and in Pre-K...last year, oh my goodness. Both boys have great teachers, and am so excited for this school year with them. They were, too, but I think more excited to wear their new shoes they got to pick out and I teased them with for the past few weeks because I wouldn't let them wear them. Here's to a great school year!
